Environment study focused on moody cinematic lighting, surface decay, and PBR texturing. Core scene assets—including the building blockout, street lamp, fence, barrel, and tire—were modeled and UV-unwrapped in Blender, complemented by a damaged vehicle asset from BlenderKit to establish the storytelling.
In Substance 3D Painter, the workflow centered on structured layer stacks and pairing custom alpha brushes with height and roughness maps to achieve tactile concrete wear, chipped plaster, and exposed brickwork. The scene was lit in Blender with subtle volumetric fog, then finalized in Photoshop with tonal contrast grading, painted specular highlights, and enhanced light cones.
